YUL is the Jr. base and there are always loads of pilots wanting out. Chances are you'd never even get YYZ as a base as YUL positions go after everything else, so if you pick first... you take the YUL base. If you pick last, chances are it will still be available.

There is no foresight in regional operations. It's all about putting the fire out now, and keeping planes in the air.

Do you work at Jazz and know something I don't?

All the low time pilots I know hired at Jazz had mostly PIC multi time. And enough to be more than capable in any aircraft Jazz flys.

I had ordered it a while back but cancelled after waiting 6 months with my delivery date constantly pushed. Once supply issues are dealt with I will likely order again. I would be nice to consolidate into one headset (I carry my QC25 for DH's anyways).

I have 3 friends who have started at Jazz within the last 6 months with hours ranging from 600-1000. Two are aviation college grads, one is not. Not the norm by any means but it's happening.

As someone who quasi commuted from YVR to YUL while waiting 4 months for a base transfer... just move. Even if it's just temporary you will enjoy yourself much more if you commit to YUL.
