Re: Who is the BC Medevac contract going to?

While I do not know any details of BC air ambulance bid, is it not time to update to newer heli's? Was Helijet flying the S76A on the air ambulance contract? It looks like the newest S76 Helijet has is 17 years old. The S76 is a good machine but, like the Boeing 737, the S76 has roots going back to ...

Re: October 1, 2017 - Helicopter down near Campbell River

Thanks for the link CpnCrunch, interesting read. How to incorporate into flight training? Like VRS, LTS is always there nibbling at the edges of utility work (bucketing, doing log booms pirouette with 25 knots of wind at 20'), you develop a 'feel' for it and never let it fully develop. Wouldn't say...

Re: Missing Caravan

In one of the news articles it said that the aircraft was located by burn marks on the ground, if the aircraft burned it would explain why the ELT was not transmitting. The other possibility is that the transponder was removed for service which is also legal, The pilot's flight plan would have indi...

Sounds like poor maintenance.

Took a few tries but they did get the gear down enough so it did not collapse on landing.

Re: Does this situation really require the emergency equipment

So please...if you have a significant issue, declare an emergency. But if it is minor stuff that does not significantly decrease the level of safety, fly and land the aircraft in a normal manner instead of worrying about how bored the emergency vehicle drivers are. If they are bored, that is a good...

Eva Air 777 just off the taxiway YVR Nov 29, 2022

While the d#%k size is being measured on a previous post, maybe this one can be a bit more civil.

Eva Air B777 got its nose wheel just off the taxiway in a snow storm. They had just arrived from Tiapei.

Some pilots report side tone issues with the Bose QC45 and the Uflymike QC45 sidetone echo We have received reports of customers hearing an "echo" in their sidetone audio (hearing your own voice in the headset). To date, the issue seems to affect about 10% of our customers with the QC45. https://ufl...
