Re: engine drone
I know most people here think I know as much about aviation as a retarded chimpanzee, but before your next flight I would pull the cowls and do a careful inspection for an exhaust leak. Re: Why Must We Call FSS (while IFR)

what's the downside in not voting, as a protest Hold on a sec. Not voting is NOT a protest - at least, no one registers it as such. Instead it's apathy. Is your time so valuable you really don't have 15 minutes on voting day? no one is counting spoiled ballots Don't rationalize apathy. You underest...

Re: Commercial flight test need help
TC doesn't do many private/commercial flight tests any more, unless they're monitoring a new examiner. It's a bit unusual, because of the prevalence of designated pilot examiners in industry. Most people would look around for one of those, first.

Never used it in 20 yrs of IFR flying.
Weirdest thing I probably ever did (wrt civilian IFR) was formation IFR. ATC thought that was pretty strange.

And on that note, Conrad Black just observed: All parties may wish to remember that Belgium is functioning quite normally, as it approaches its 300th consecutive day without a government. It could be Belgium’s greatest political contribution to the world since it bravely resisted German aggression i...
