Now that we are going to see a reciprocal arrangement with the US will we see more people going there to train. From December 1st we will be able to do a straight swap for FAA licences and ratings, only one being exempt will be the Instructor rating.

Yes, lots more jobs out there too. Recently left the Instructing gig though although I may do a cadet contract next Summer.

Now that we are going to be able to do straight swaps between Canadian and US licences in December how will this affect our flight training establishments? Will it be more beneficial to train in the US as the FAA licences are more widely recognised worldwide?

Its about the same here in Calgary. 16 bucks an hour for a Class 4 and the same for groundschool. Its a great part time job if you have a main income.
