Training in US

Now that we are going to see a reciprocal arrangement with the US will we see more people going there to train. From December 1st we will be able to do a straight swap for FAA licences and ratings, only one being exempt will be the Instructor rating.

Training in US

Now that we are going to be able to do straight swaps between Canadian and US licences in December how will this affect our flight training establishments? Will it be more beneficial to train in the US as the FAA licences are more widely recognised worldwide?

Got out of Instructing at the weekend after only a year and a half. Salary

Its about the same here in Calgary. 16 bucks an hour for a Class 4 and the same for groundschool. Its a great part time job if you have a main income.

Multi IFR YYC

I have decided on Fly Right out of YBW as it appeared too difficult to get continuous bookings out at the International with Morgan Air. I was quoted about 20 hrs in the Sim and 10 to 15 hrs in the aircraft which appears to be okay. I will also take the Aerocourse in September when they come to Calg...

Multi IFR

I am in a similar situation. I have just started a ground position here in Calgary and I currently Instruct part time. I do not have the Initial Multi IFR which I am planning on training for in the very near future. Even though there are no guarantees after the rating I am aware that the guarantee w...

Can anyone recommend a good training provider for this course out of YYC with a decent groundschool to coincide? If I commit to 3 lessons per week what sort of duration am I looking at? Thanks in advance.
