Whats parading around with signs supposed to do anyways? I feel like it just creates photo opportunities for the media to exploit in their pro-industry / anti-pilot articles...
Don't get me wrong, I fully support you guys at WestJet.

Re: Westjet's new Dreamliner livery & logo
It's pretty boring. And someone should have told them that airplanes have windows. The Westjet name is all messed up by them. Now the new AC livery, WOW. How a company could go from the worst toothpaste coloured airplanes to the most badass paint scheme out there is a mystery to me. Even a 737 look...

Re: Emirates
Yeah, things get more expensive if there's demand for them. Demand for oil will peak and it will decrease. Once this happens everyone who is sitting on any sort of deposit will be climb over each other to pump it out while its still worth something. Cue total shit-show in the Middle East. I'll check...

Re: Emirates
It is essentially the same thing, except that peak demand was made up after people realized peak oil wasn't materializing. Just some other made up event in the medium term future by alarmists to get the crowds going. Its the polar opposite actually, and it will happen. Its only a question of when.

Re: Emirates
The oil industry won't collapse overnight - I'm not suggesting that. It doesn't have to collapse though. The only thing holding the region together (radical Islam at bay) is a lot of money from oil exports. As soon as peak demand comes along - BP keep moving their estimate closer and closer - prices...

Re: Emirates
Oil isn't what it was 10 years ago and it never will. Just curious but; What are you basing that on? Haha, are you from Alberta by any chance? Did that hit a nerve? The writing is on the wall and the Saudis know it. Wasn't there a coup attempt a couple of weeks ago in Riyadh that they're trying to ...

Not a bad idea. I might even have to dig up one of my old accounts and start shit-posting / trolling again.

Ummm, no don't "stop living"...
Just don't jump head-first into a 5 year / $45 000 bond that might trap you in the Middle East. Oil isn't what it was 10 years ago and it never will.

Re: Reps from operators express concern on new duty regs
Guess that is the point.... are these proposed regs actually better? They may solve the 14 hr problem but that alone comes with a lot of baggage for the pilot especially commuters!! Yes, yes they are. Shorter duty periods Duty periods adjusted for circadian phase The introduction of duty limit peri...

Re: Reps from operators express concern on new duty regs
Working for up to 14 hours straight starting at midnight is criminal. Period. That needs to stop. It should have stopped years ago! Further investigate and consult with industry, by all means. The current regulations - which I would argue are the worst in the world in terms of fatigue - need to chan...
