I would also like to hear from anyone with recent experience doing the Algonquin program.
I keep meeting many graduates of the other programs but none from the Algonquin.

Re: Multi-IFR or Flight instructor rating to get a job asap in the current aviation atmosphere?
A large percentage of jobs are obtained by having a personal referral from another pilot who already works for the employer you would like a job with. Re: Best place for multi IFR training??
I'd go along with the suggestion of doing an initial instrument rating elsewhere. The operators are not instructors, they are "owners" who continue to have instructors leave them quickly. The toxic atmosphere may not be visible from a student's perspective. There are plenty of their former instructo...

Re: Manitoba Govt Air Services to be Privatised
Above Gary Filmon, there is Mike Pyle is the CEO of EIC who the press releases claim is famous for "creative acquisitions". That's another name for toxic employment conditions where employees get told in no uncertain terms what the bottom line requires. What really stinks and has a very loud warning...

Re: iPad Mini 4 128Gb Cellular?
What is the differences you need to be aware of in buying an Apple Ipad Mini 4 Cellular 128Gb? I notice on Ebay that there is a very large difference in asking prices, am I missing something? Is there a standard size that is used by Airlines as EFBs? Any suggestions appreciated. My work does not at ...

Re: Yet Another Australian Migration Thread
While I'm in flight training, my boss runs a spray operation and the fact is, Australian Spray Pilots are highly sought after as they are available during the Canadian Summer. Many Canadian and Australian spray operators are desperate for spray pilots and there is a world wide shortage. It's a caree...

Hi there, I did a search of avcanada for aerobatic book recommendations but couldn't really find anything. What would you recommend an ATPL holder and instructor read before I jump into the basics of aerobatics with an aerobatic instructor? I used to collect books on Aerobatics, and most of them we...

Re: TC really cracking down these days...
I recently spent many hours reading about various enforcement actions and there is a big difference between what Transport tell us and reality. Reality is a large number of those "enforcement actions" are subject to an appeal. When the matter is being appealed, Transport don't mention that. There is...
