Re: Have you ever heard about select aviation flight center?
Select Aviation do deserve a plug so here goes. It is in Drummondville Quebec www.selectaviation.com They are setting an example of running a great flight school using the "intergrated" training program. There are many other schools running an "intergrated program" that do not come near their standa...

Re: Yet Another Australian Migration Thread
ajmartin your post on this forum is a bit like waving a red flag at a bull, and you are guaranteed of getting a lot of what comes out of the rear end of the latter. The post above is accurate, at your age, working in Canada, getting the paperwork to work in Canada is a breeze except be prepared for ...

Re: Current licensing stats
I understand that if you exclude Foreign Students in Canada only around 600 Canadians obtained CPL's in the last year. That means that with predicted airline recruitment, the industry might not produce the required CPL's for the next year. That means, instructors with lots of single engine time will...

Re: Beech 35 ends up in grave yard at Medicine Hat
I have some pics, the aircraft was removed on Sunday Oct 23rd, 2016. Ended up cutting the the firewall off, engine , front cowl and prop came back on one trailer, the wings and fuselage on another. The prop damage shows no power was running on impact. One blade bent 90 degrees. Pilot is still in a s...

Re: Beech 35 ends up in grave yard at Medicine Hat
Wreckage was removed today. Firewall forward cut off. The prop was definitely not under power when it hit the ground. One blade is bent 90 degrees.
Wings and tail look beat up but relatively straight.
Word is that the pilot remains in a serious condition.

Re: Beech 35 ends up in grave yard at Medicine Hat
The above post (not mine) is an attempt at humor and refers to another accident at another place a long time ago.
The pilot was transported to Calgary on a King Air 200 last night.
His side of the hangar is empty today.
The Police Tapes are still up at the grave yard.

Re: Seneca, Sault or Confederation for Flight Training?
It's a tragedy that we get posts like this one below. I left one airport where several schools fell into this description where instructors were paid peanuts and did about 10 hours of ground to one hour in the air and seemed to average around 12 hours a month of flight time in environments that make...

Re: Seneca, Sault or Confederation for Flight Training?
When it comes to a college FTU, you're gonna be knee deep in bullshit no matter where you go. Unless you really want the degree/diploma or you're under scholarship, it's not worth it. The Canadian "integrated program" was and is a wonderful plan for flight training organizations in Canada to get in...

Re: Seneca, Sault or Confederation for Flight Training?
I was instructing at a one friendly "mom and pop" school where every student and instructor asked me about tailwheel flying. Just like the post below, I and was looking for a "mom and pop shop" where tailwheel was a priority. Now, work is a real pleasure, for the last week, I spent all my time betwe...
