Epic and UVair have been selected to provide fuel and FBO network branding to new FBO - The Aerospace Centre at Toronto Pearson International Airport
Construction on state-of-the-art business aircraft fixed base facility at Toronto Pearson International Airport to begin
Facility expected to be fully operational in 2017 and provide options for general/business aviation in and out of Toronto
Epic and UVair have been selected to provide fuel and FBO network branding to The Aerospace Centre, a new, state-of-the-art business aircraft fixed-base facility to be located on Convair Drive adjacent to runway 24L-06R at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Construction is underway on the new facility and it is expected to open in stages beginning in 2016, with full-operation expected in early 2017.
The Aerospace Centre will be operated by Aligned Aviation Airport Development Services and will carry the EPIC and UVair FBO Network brands. Under this arrangement The Aerospace Centre will be part of a growing alliance of leading FBOs dedicated to delivering a superior customer experience through premier facilities, strict operational safety and customer service standards. The selection of EPIC and UVair was made after a thorough review of options in fuel providers and network alliances.
“We felt confident in choosing EPIC because of their outstanding reputation in the industry; especially in terms of their safety record, excellent customer service and its long-standing history of providing innovative programs to help FBOs succeed,” said an Aligned Aviation spokesperson.
“In addition, we identified that joining the UVair FBO Network would help build and grow our business traffic quickly by providing our future customers with a sense that they could ‘land with confidence’ in knowing our facilities and operations would be top-notch.”
The facility will consist of approximately 250,000 square feet of hangar and FBO - related office and shop facilities. Tenants include both management companies and independent corporate flight departments. The FBO incorporates a complete range of facilities including meeting, office, recreational, rest and working space. In addition it will also include an upper-level food and beverage space and event area with a deck with viewing access of the nearby runways.
“We’re pleased to have been selected and we’re looking forward to being a part of this exceptional facility,” said Steve McCullough, EPIC’s senior vice president of general aviation. McCullough said that Toronto is an important international destination and The Aerospace Centre will be a great addition to EPIC’s growing network of global FBOs.
Through the UVair FBO Network, both the EPIC and UVair cards are accepted at over 9,000 locations worldwide. Both cards will be accepted at The Aerospace Centre for fuel and ancillary purchases beginning in the summer of 2016, when the first phase of the facility opens for business.
The Aligned Aviation Aerospace Centre is a design build project of EllisDon. The lead architects are IBI who are the project architects of record with design consultation supplied by Patkau Architects of Vancouver.
Subsequent phases of The Aerospace Centre will include an atrium with related commercial office towers and convention spaces will be announced in the near future. Effective October 5, 2015, more information about the Centre’s can be found online at Website

Hmm...
Skyservice (and Landmark) at the north end (and I'm sure Skyservice will not give up the midfield location) and a new FBO at the south end.
Why it's almost like Skyservice is coming back back to the south end .........

Sky is planning to move their main FBO to the north end. The south end project does not involve sky as far as I know
