Transavia 5068 emergency

Post by Troubleshot »

Hi guys,

would like your take on how this all played out. click the link and listen to the ATC recording. Then, below in the same link is an actual video of the plane landing with little or no flap, and no TR deployment. was he already starting to see a flame out do you think?

Thanks!

From other forums it sounds like the flaps were over-sped in the second windshear escape maneuver/go-around and they refused to come down. Boeing manual states to leave flaps where they are in the escape maneuver until windshear is no longer a factor, so its quite possible that they were over-sped due to the shear.

fair enough....what about TRs then? Unless the video is shortened and we don't get to see them deployed?
