He is suggesting: a) There is something very valuable in that Mooney and b) The police would like to get their hands on whatever it is before someone from the general public does.

What’s going on? Why is the username covered? When looking at his/her post history most of the text has been censured
Is this a Hitchcock’s movie or what?!

No, it isn't a wacky conspiracy theory. Mainly because that's not what I am suggesting. I'm not suggesting anything. I merely stated that there is some substance to what that CWB or whatever his nick was said to start all of this.Cliff Jumper wrote: ↑Fri Aug 10, 2018 8:48 pmYou are suggesting that the police, as a whole, are engaging in a cover-up. That is a wacky conspiracy theory, full stop.cncpc wrote: ↑Thu Aug 09, 2018 10:30 pmI wouldn't have written them if they weren't both true.Cliff Jumper wrote: ↑Thu Aug 09, 2018 7:03 pm
Wow.
Those two statements can't both be true.
Pick one or the other.
An airplane is missing. Two people are missing. At a minimum it is a missing persons case. It's a very sad case. Wait until they find the aircraft, if they do. All that is for sure is that it is missing.

You are correct, you are not suggesting it, you are stating it clearly.
That statement alone is a wacky conspiracy, no further info required.

con·spir·a·cy
kənˈspirəsē

a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful.
The dictionary then quotes your exact statement, word for word as an example.

It does seem pretty unlikely to me. If you look at the flightaware track and the weather for that day, it seems more likely they were circling to get under the overcast. I don't think people on the ground would be able to tell the difference.
The weather posted by cncpc from the traffic cameras in rogers pass shows low cloud right down to the ground, so the most likely scenario seems to be that they pushed on into deteriorating weather, and then got trapped.
If the RCMP did tell people not to say about the plane, it's probably just because they don't want lots of unprepared people going out into the wilderness on wild goose chases.

2 km. from Fidelity Tower, the tower that was pinging it. Up in a tree, tail intact.

How far is the crash site from the departure airport?
Re: Missing airplane on flight from Penticton to Edmonton
Maybe 40 clicks. Very close to a road.

Re: Missing airplane on flight from Penticton to Edmonton
wait the departure airport was a lot more than 40 klicks, the last one they overflew (revelstoke) was like 40 klicks. I dont think they landed at revelstoke...
Re: Missing airplane on flight from Penticton to Edmonton
Sorry, you are correct. They didn't land at Revelstoke.

Well families will be able to get closure on this tragedy. Sincere condolences to all involved.
Fantastic work by the BCAS crew who's awareness out there lead to the discovery.

In twenty years time when your kids ask how you got into flying you want to be able to say "work and determination" not "I just kept taking money from your grandparents for type ratings until someone was stupid enough to give me a job"

It's a testament to the density of BC bush that the wreckage was not visible maybe a hundred metres from the Trans Canada.

It is interesting to see in the picture that they are down by the highway level. I can't see much of the surrounding terrain but it appears that it was not one of those flights that hits terrain near the peak but was possibly maneuvering down in a valley. Which likely would not have been their original en route plan. Perhaps they were trying to find the Revelstoke airport as a diversion.
