Very good job by the pilot - but did you see how they mangled it trying to get it out of the water!?
They completely destroyed it! Not that a salt water bath would be any better for it...

I think the damage on the empennage came in the ditching sequence. Mainly there where the tail slapped back down on the water. Once again, that was a helluva job by the lad flying.
