Looking for info 1951 Seabee crash BC
Hello all,
Looking for info regarding a Seabee N6729K which I believe went down somewhere near Port Alberni on Vancouver Island around 1950 or 51. Recently I was contacted by somebody who was out hiking and came out of the bush with a vertical stab from a Seabee. It’s clearly marked and there is no doubt it is what it is.
Online research doesn’t come up with anything other than the # was delisted in 1951, no photos, no nothing!
I have spoken with Jerry Vernon from the Canadian Aviation Historical Society but so far he is at a loss.
Any info would be much appreaciated.
Thanks, Martin

You can try contacting George Williams of Port Alberni. Really nice guy. His passion is locating past wrecks etc. Here is a link to his website. http://www3.telus.net/onholeyground
How can you tell which one is the pilot when you walk into a bar?....Don't worry he will come up and tell you.

http://www.republicseabee.com/ this site has a ton of info and history, if you dig into it I think they have the history of all the Seabeee serial #s. I was looking thru it a while ago as I was thinking of buying one at one point.

Have you visited Steiner's SeaBee page (http://www.seabee.info/seabee.htm)? Here's what he has for N6729K (http://www.seabee.info/rc3_1017.htm).
Clear skies and calm winds...
