Amphib caravan wrecked in Northern Saskatchewan
While landing on an ice strip something went wrong and excited the strip knocking the floats off.

Did you accidentally hit "submit" before including any of the who, what, where or whens?
Re: Amphib caravan wrecked in Northern Saskatchewan
No I didn’t, it is owned by a fellow from Lloyd Minister. Happened yesterday landing at his private cabin on Maurice Lake.

Something went wrong alright! Yup like little wheels on spring ice! I would not even be up there on skis!
Poor decision making.

It doesn't really matter what your gear is when when traction is absolutely zero. You have to fly the plane as if you were still in the air. That usually means crabbing as you slide down the ice like a curling stone. The really tricky part is you can't stand up after getting out of the plane without holding onto the side of it.

"hard landing"
on an "ice strip"
on "floats"?
cadors says ski gear though.
