Very experienced crew. Hope they are ok. Not a very forgiving area between south pole and terra nova. I'm not a religious man but i am oraying they are found safe.

the Captain is a highly experienced Artcic/Antarctic pilot and we hope for the best.
Weather conditions hamper the search in mountainous terrain. Hopefully Bob managed to
put the aircraft down on some plateau there

my thoughts and prayers to Bob and crew. he IS A good teacher / in arctic flying remember doing a few trips for him back in the day said "blizzards come and blizzards go, it is the patient pilot that lives to see the next one" with an impish grin having lots of gas sure doesn't hurt either ,

The Captain on this trip is a well-loved member of the AvCanada family. He's also a moderator on these forums. I'm an atheist but I still said a quick prayer this evening, and I'd appreciate it if you did the same.

If you're going to run into any kind of situation down there, he's the guy you'd want at the helm. Let's hope for the best.

I worked with the Capt at KBAL and he is truly one of nicest and most sincere people you`ll ever meet (not to mention one hell of a skipper). Add me to the list of those (in shock) and praying for a positive outcome for all involved.

Thoughts and prayers are with them. Have worked with Bob, and there aren't too many better. They are well equipped for survival. Here is hoping they are hunkered down nice and warm and the weather clears for a pick up soon.

Not usually one to post here but a good friend is down on the ice right now....twin otter FO initials DR if anyone in the know can pm me if he was involved or not it would be very much appreciated.

EDIT: disregard just talked to his girlfriend.....hoping for the best for the crew sounds like the weather is terrible and everyone is grounded right now.

Taylor.
