It is lack of pilots not lack of business that is the issue for them. Jazz pilots now being offered 1 year leave of absence to go fly for Voyageur.

What is the current Voyageur payscale since someone in a previous post said it was improved ? Can't see it matching current Jazz salary and perdiem rates especially for Captain's...so what's the incentive ?

It looks like if you did a whole year at Voyageur at best you’d make about what you’d make at Jazz. The only extra thing you might pick up is a strange disease... With the exception of the odd unattached pilot with wanderlust I’m not sure how they’re going to entice people over there.

Maybe not for a year but skipping winter and doing 1 or 2 rotations might be interesting, if you have no wife and kids and look for a different experience, it makes sense. ;)

Saw on the Chorus Aviation website (Q2 results) that Voyageur picked up new contracts in Africa (UN ?), anyone know if they are busy these days (hiring?)...and have the overseas bases changed much since someone posted last spring ?

Anyone familiar with which aircraft you are assigned once hired? Current website hiring has a standard ad for both the RJ & Dash.

From my understanding you tell them what your preference is and if they can make it happen they will. It's also easy to move types if they need it and you offer.
