Deferring a course date (705)

#1 Post by Jimmy2 » Thu Feb 02, 2017 8:30 pm

I've never been involved in the hiring pool type system that most 705 carriers in Canada use. If you are in the hiring pool and get offered a course date how much leeway would one have in asking to defer to another time? Would it be normal to be removed from the pool at that point if you turned down a course? Or would most companies be understanding that it's not always possible to drop everything in your life to go attend training at the first date offered? Thanks.

That seems to depend on the company. Apply anyways and ask about it at the end of your interview, or ask HR when they call you with a date.
