What is meant by "flight crew" in job ads

#1 Post by digits_ » Fri Apr 21, 2017 9:18 am

Hi all,

I noticed a few job ads where the companies are looking for "flight crew". I always took it as "we are looking for both captains and fo's", but if you look at the hour requirements, I have the impression that "flight crew" means FO's.

So what is conventional in Canada? What does "looking for flight crews" mean usually?

Regards,
digits

Flight crew means flight crew, the crew that are responsible for flying the aircraft. Flight attendants are cabin crew.

With the way the industry is moving, most operators are looking for FOs who can be quickly upgraded to Captain, or direct-entry Captains who are ready as soon as a spot is available.
