Mention present instructing position?? (Resume)
If applying for a better suited flight instructor position do you mention the present one you have on your resume??
Is that a negative (why leave) or positive (experience ).
Thanks

It’s going to be pretty obvious if you claim to be an experienced instructor, that you’ve been working *somewhere*.

I'm not hiding anything at all, just a measly class 4 trying to do more that's all. I'm not claiming to be an experienced instructor as well because I'm not just trying to get better that's it that's all.photofly wrote:It’s going to be pretty obvious if you claim to be an experienced instructor, that you’ve been working *somewhere*.

It's just if they ask "why do you want to leave"

You have to list your current employer on your resume no matter what industry you're in.
Answering why you leave a company is not a resume type of thing. Resumes are like a limits section in a manual. Just a list of facts and figures. That's all. Why you left or are seeking to leave a current job is an interview question and a common one at that.

Oh - they will ask, I mean, wouldn’t you?marakii wrote:I'm not hiding anything at all, just a measly class 4 trying to do more that's all. I think you misunderstand me. If you’re an instructor who’s given a single hour of instruction then you’re “experienced”: you’re going to get asked about where, and for whom. You can’t pretend you’ve never worked as an instructor and it just looks shifty if you don’t say where.
