Got an email from the ops manager. I heard that they are looking for F/o's for the Vancouver and Hamilton base (B1900) Hamilton is a lot of flying. don't know the salary but overall i'ts a great company to work for, from what i've heard.

There is a bound so you may take that into consideration.

They advertised like two weeks ago for first officer positions and they haven't filled them yet! I'm sure they can find 800 hours guys and gals to fly. Odd!

mmhmm i've heard great things about this company and the bases out West has solid pilots and mgmt. all their startin salaries went up. I got an email from their HR dept asking for detailed info about my stuff. Did a phone interview. guy on the phone was very nice. got stumped on a few though (IFR) but they seem like they vet their applicants well and thoroughly, which to be honest nowadays, not a lot do... Ended up not taking a position as I got an offer in the 705 world at the same time. good luck to them though!

Good luck having a positive comment when asking anything in the avcanada forum.. you’ll only get bashing and negativity from butthurt loosing pilots. And that’s for a fact. Their career must be miserable to spray that kind of energy.

Best thing to do, check LinkedIn and try to send a message to people who actually work there.

Although I do not work for Skylink, it is my understanding that they generally do not work at night, all day trips (early departure, back around 5pm).

Someone who works there can confirm or deny this.

Depends on the base. YVR sched was particularly good with runs coming back at 1pm-ish or 4pm-ish. YHM and YMX get back later (7-9pm as I recall). There are some night runs out of YHM as well. The pay increased recently, which is a step in the right direction.

I spent almost 4 years there. YVR was the best base by far. MTC good, schedule pretty relaxed when base at full strength, no pressure at all to fly in wx. You could do a lot worse in the 703 world...

Would anyone who works there like to share how much they pay their captains these days? Specifically interested in the YVR base-thanks!

Thank you for the valuable input and information.

What would a B1900 first officer at the YHM base expect to work schedule wise. How many days a week and start and finish times.

And if anyone has an updated salary expectation on what you receive that's a bonus.

Thanks in advance

I'm wondering what the lowest timed pilot is getting hired there as a caravan f/o or 1900 f/o.

I've heard 800 hours total time is a good time they might hire , not facts from me just talking to someone that used to fly a while back.

Anyone know what the schedule for the 1900 is out of YHM?

I understand there are day and night runs but heard that they only fly about 3 days a week, is that correct?
