Summit Air Salary
Anyone know what the FO salary is for the RJ85? Feel free to PM me. Thanks!

Pretty sure the bond is larger than your yearly salary...

Where the hell are you going to go with an RJ85 type rating and only FO time?
Yes, I realize the irony of my other posts looking to go overseas with my vast amount of 737 FO time.
I don't think Summit bonds anyone. At least they didn't in the past. Same approach as Buffalo had. Joe never bonded anyone because you couldn't really go to another DC-3 operation.

If you have no time at all it will take a couple of years to get into jazz and you'll stick around long enough to make it worth summit's time. If you already have a couple of years of working in this industry under your belt, an RJ85 type rating probably won't get you much more than you already have. If that's the case, skip summit altogether and go straight to Jazz.

Definitely not true.BE20 Driver wrote:I don't think Summit bonds anyone. At least they didn't in the past.
And they don't care where you go, Porter, Jazz, Georgian, CMA, Wasaya, TTC, CN, Starbucks, etc
All they care about is that they will be training a new FO before your 24 months have gone by.
Re: Summit Air Salary
I hope it's not worst than the 36000$/3 years I seen last year!
Re: Summit Air Salary
I think it's better than that. 50k, maybe 4 years now, but can't quote that.garfield wrote:I hope it's not worst than the 36000$/3 years I seen last year!
6 months of jet 705 and 500 hours, Jazz will take you. Or sky regional. Or encore. And you'll get paid more, have job securit, Yada Yada Yada.

Although some of these are running 146"s i am sure RJ85 time would be considered an asset.

Re: Summit Air Salary
Sidenote, anyone know what the ramp wait is now at Summit? I've heard anywhere from 6mo to 2yrs.
Re: Summit Air Salary
For me, I've been around long enough.
If the WAWCON was right, I'd fly the RJ85. It looks cool and has 4 engines, I think it would be a hoot.
For the record now, doesn't matter what you fly if it is a 705 Jet. You could to any airline once you meet the requirements and they would probably be excited to have you with that experience over a 703 King Air driver any day.
