Thunder Airlines Ad
All I can say is well done! A very informative ad, no bs, and up front about all.

I felt the same when I saw that. Was actually a pleasure to read, informative and attractive.

Just to link the ad in question because, it is, indeed, that well written. I'm not saying it's a perfect job, as no job really is; but you sure know what you're getting into and I applaud that.

I always wanted to fly a rice rocket but was never in the right place at the right time.
But a lot of them passed me when I was flying the 690B.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Re: Thunder Airlines Ad
I've said it before, and I'll say it again here- Thunder is about as good as it gets for 703.
There are less lifers on the roster than there have been in the past, with lots of people moving through to regionals, so staffing levels can be a bit tenuous, but they're a great company, and great guys to work for.
As far as moving on, many people leave just because they want to be a bit closer to home and not away on a (albiet short) rotation. But moving on to 705s, the grass certainly isn't always greener- you're just cutting it with a nicer mower. Some people come back.

The posting says seven days on call - seven days off.
Re: Thunder Airlines Ad
With an ad like that, this deserves to be bumped.
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship
