From what I know they still have the 1000 min prior to hiring, or pretty close to that. I’m sure being know in the company would help as they put a lot of value on internal references..

Nope, not yet, but there have been a few folks that used to work the ramp now working as pilots (they went elsewhere to build their time in between, of course). A couple of our flight attendants are working on that goal as well (again, they'll have to go somewhere else to build some time prior to coming back... but these days... not much time needed!)

As said in Post #2, a lot of value is given to internal references.
