Part Time Flight Instructor

#1 Post by Thales Coelho » Sat Jan 13, 2018 8:02 pm

Hello all,

Simple question: is it possible to work as a Part-Time flight instructor, using a Off-Campus Study Work Permit, while doing a College? It would let me work 20hrs/week.

Is there any case similar to this?

If you're able to work weekends at a busy flight school, it might work as a part-time gig. Most schools only pay per flight hour, so it will be pretty hard to get 20 hours of work if you're part time, so I would not worry about going over on the hours. Just be aware that if it is a bad weather day, there will be lots of sitting around at $0.00 per hour.
