ATS Services Ltd is a leading provider of meteorological services across Canada and is currently seeking an Aviation Program Officer based at our Ottawa Head Office. This position reports to the Manager of Operations.
Regional Aviation Program Officer
Responsibilities:

The Regional Aviation Program Officer will perform all or some of the following job tasks:
• Oversee and conduct the Quality Assurance Management Plan.
• Assist with the routine monitoring of station operations and employee performance.
• Provide assistance and coaching to Station Supervisors and Observer-Communicators.
• Conduct employee certifications/re-certifications as required.
• Conduct employee refresher training as required.
• Assist with the recruitment of new employees.
• Travel as required including travel to isolated locations.
• Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
• Provide general assistance to the Manager of Operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Minimum Requirements:
• Extensive experience in weather reporting or aviation communications.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively and foster team spirit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Northern peoples/communities.
• Previous on-the-job instruction experience.
• Project management experience.
