GA pilot medical rights

Post by target »

Corporate pilot that has a medical issue. Company stopped paying me after holidays and medical days expired.
They are holding my position, I'm wondering if they can just stop paying me and how long do they have to protect my job?
Thanks for any info or insight if you've had this happen to you.

This is only an opinion**

I believe they have every right because a class 1 medical is probably a requirement for employment.

From what I would think, you would have to go on long/short term disability. I don't think the company is obligated to pay you once sick days are used up.
