I noticed an ad by APAS for Hong Kong Airlines posted recently. I seem to remember looking at these positions about a year ago. It was a while ago but IIRC, the contract rates were about half of what is being offered now. It seems like some companies are trying to be competitive rather than be

industry leading

. Hong Kong is still ridiculously expensive but this seems to be a big step in the right direction.

HKA isn't the only company increasing their compensation packages. Other contract companies are also improving conditions. Maybe one day domestic airlines will start paying attention. One can hope.
