Re: Thunder Airlines
Never worked there myself so this is all second hand info but they have a good reputation as far as 703 operators go. I can only comment on the medevac side with the MU2 but last I heard it was 7 on 7 off. Not sure about FO payscales but do a search they’ll show up. They had a few ads up this past year and listed the numbers. Jumpseat agreements with AC and Porter. I believe a bond exists but no money upfront. Can’t comment on upgrade times but the do have certain hard minimums for MOH contracts for captains. Best of luck.

Last info I have(about a year or so old) for the King Air FO charter/sked position:faculties11 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 03, 2019 9:39 am Hi -
Looking for information on Thunder. I'm sitting at 1000+ hrs TT and looking to build some time up North.
Schedule?
Pay?
Commuting options?
Bases available?
Upgrade times?
Bond?
Cheers.
Schedule: 10 on 5 off with jump seat passes on AC and Porter
Pay: around $40,000 / year for an FO
Bases available: Timmins and Thunder Bay. Timmins is more junior for the King Air, you fly more and upgrade quicker.
Upgrade times: In Timmins around 6 months, over a year in Thunder bay. Upgrades are based on a mix of seniority and skill.
Bond: $8,000 for one year on the King Air. You pay nothing unless you leave early.
Overall good 703 to work for, very safety/SOP orientated.
