Air Georgian - Are They Actually Hiring?

Post by plausiblyannonymous »

Is Air Georgian actually hiring?

I have heard news as of late that they are losing the contract from Air Canada. They still have job postings for CYYZ B1900 FOs and Capts, but last I checked, they were all moved to YYC.

What is going on?

I’m not sure where you get the idea that they are hiring... oh wait....

Maybe offering WJ a tier under Encore? WJE probably has routes that routinely have like six people on the Q, put a 1900 on those!

Or Saab, I doubt they will entertain the 704 world for a Link contract.

They entertained a Saab in the mountains. Pretty sure a 1900 in flatland Ontario is safer than a Saab in the rocks.

They are probably just hiring to replace those that are leaving. I would imagine it would be tough to attract new talent when chances are you won’t have a job once the CPA ends.

So hypothetically then, should I try and parlay my light twin time into a decent seat at Georgian as fast as I can then hope to be the last one through the PML to AC as they shut off the lights and lock the doors? Inquiring minds want to know...

According to another thread I'm way too lazy to reference directly, you had to be on the property at GGN the day the flow to Jazz/ AC contract was signed to qualify.
