summit air (pilot in waiting)
and advice about summit air (pilot in waiting)
recently, how long does it take from ramp to right seat?
and how much could I get pay during ramp?
is there a mandatory period or bond?

Re: summit air (pilot in waiting)
Last I heard (beginning of 2018) it was still something like 2 years of ramp...
As for pay, I'd venture a guess and say probably minimum wage, maybe just slightly above by a buck or 2

Ramp to flight line is typically 6+ months minimum nowadays. Depending on a few factor... I've seen guys get right seat in as little as 3 months recently. Timing is a big part of it but so is work ethic and competence.
Not sure about the wage but you can expect entry level pay for an entry level job.
Once on flightline wages are competitive with the Industry.
Dornier - 1 year bond - 400-500hrs/year
ATR/RJ - 2 year bond - 600-700hrs/year
Overall it's a great northern operator with well equipped aircraft. Dm if you have more questions.

Recruiter has all the pay numbers. Been 6 months to a max of a year checkout in the last couple of years.

Per year or per month? The math only makes sense if it's $500 per month assuming the company spends in excess of $10k or more to get you those ratings.easypal123 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 6:52 amDornier - 1 year bond - 400-500hrs/yearpilot4u1234 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:37 pm and advice about summit air (pilot in waiting)

OP: They quoted me 2 yrs on the ramp in the summer of 2018. It may be better now but from the sounds of it, still looking like at least a year. The 3-4 month cases are few and far between so I wouldn't base my decision on that.

Those numbers are not typical. Close to 2 years
Since I’m flying the King Air, does that qualify me to fly the Queen of the skies?
Re: summit air (pilot in waiting)
I think what the poster was referring to is the number of hours flying a year!Per year or per month? The math only makes sense if it's $500 per month assuming the company spends in excess of $10k or more to get you those ratings.

Re: summit air (pilot in waiting)
Thanks for your opinion but those numbers are correct and fact. 6 months to 1 year on the ramp. This had been the case for the last 2 years.
