Seasonal Helicopter Pilot

We are now looking for a Seasonal Helicopter Pilot to join our Forest Patrol Limited team in 2022.

As a Seasonal Helicopter Pilot you will work a 15 day on, 6 day off rotation with two other rotary wing pilots and seven fixed wing pilots. Our pilots stay at onsite camps in Juniper, New Brunswick during their rotation and are able to travel home for their off days. We offer a competitive compensation and benefit package which is paid weekly in the form of salary with additional bonuses for flight time. Lodging and meals are included while staying in our onsite accommodations.

Forest Patrol Limited currently operates two Bell 407 helicopters, four Ayers 510 Turbine Thrush, and one Cessna TU206G, carrying out aerial fire attack, aerial applications, and forestry reconnaissance flights throughout New Brunswick, Maine, and Nova Scotia. We are constantly updating our equipment to ensure we operate with the latest technology and practices.

We are looking for experienced applicants who want to join our team of dedicated pilots and pursue a long-term, seasonal career with us. We also offer opportunities to advance into more senior pilot roles.

Requirements:
Canadian commercial pilot license with valid medical
Minimum 1000 hours total flying time
Valid Passport for entry in the U.S
Aerial forestry or agricultural application and/or forest fire suppression (water bucketing) experience is considered an asset
Flexibility to work in a team environment
Operating in a safe and environmentally conscientious manner

Responsibilities:
Aerial application programs throughout summer season
Fire readiness and response (water bucketing)
Forestry Recon and Aerial Survey
Corporate flying
Crew transportation
VFR flying only in Eastern Canada and Maine
Carry out daily inspections of the equipment and aircraft
Keeping equipment clean, ready-to-operate and assisting Maintenance Engineer
Responsible for participating in the maintenance and cleaning of the living and working area

The Location:
This position is mainly based in Juniper, New Brunswick. Juniper is approximately a 1 hour and 30 minute drive from Fredericton. Many of our employees make Fredericton their home as it is diverse, provides opportunities for families and is central to our operations. We also utilize a satellite base in Northern New Brunswick near Saint Quentin.
