KingAir Posting

Post by CAL »

'Private firm in Ottawa is looking for a Captain for their King Air B100 to be operated single pilot.
Pay will be average but the sched will average approx 1 flight per week - NO CHARTERS'

Or better yet you could just pay a good salary and keep your pilot.

Just because you only do one flight a week does not mean you can only pay him for that one flight. The pilot is available to you virtually at all times then you pay him accordingly. He/she shouldnt have to go sell stuff for your company to make enough to live.

That being said for the right guy/girl this may be a mint job...but for most I would say just give em a good salary and stop being so cheap.

is there something wrong with average?

ill bet there a few people making less than average money with alot more work than one trip per week. and the opportunity to make some cash on the side. all while living in a civilized city, sounds ok to me.

i have seen it said many times on this forum that lifestyle is where it is at.

ill bet you are home every night working 2 days a week.

what is average for a be100b spifr capt these days anyway? 65k?

Nothing wrong with what you say...but I am tired of making an 'average' salary.....and tired of operators expecting to get good drivers who are willing to take it......

$65K would be acceptable below that they wold have a hard time finding skilled personnel willing to stay any length of time.
Wouldn't appeal to the time builder willing to work cheap to build up turbine time.

if 45 is good enough for you than you take that job. P.S. mission air is offering 64 or 62 (to lazy to look up) for a navajo with a good schedual.

I guess it depends on what average is? average for manitoba 65, NWO 70, alberta 45.

what's that song. One of these salaries is not like the others, one of these salaries is not like the others.
