Contrails are a complete waste of time and solely based upon a supply and demand market. In time, there will be no contrails as no pilot will meet these qualifications for captain. The fact they have been reduced further proves they are a complete farce in this industry.
North Caribou sounds like a great company, no insult to their operation whatsoever, but Alberta companies need to do some thing about this cancer in aviation.
Again, no insult to North Caribou, this is in regards to the contrail requirements.

Contrails: Consultant contracted by many oil/resource companies to set minimum standards for pilot experience on various aircraft classes to ensure "safer" operations.
Realistically, however, the numbers are often inflated. With current industry movement many companies are finding it difficult to retain crews (esp. captains) who meet Contrails and the requirements for MPIC/PIC on type make it difficult to upgrade f/o's.

Fresh Prince, could you clarify how that all works, please? Do you have to run all of your times in different categories (PIC, TT, MULTIPIC...etc) through the 'matrix' and then as long as you are better than the far-right column, then you'll be good to go?
Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

You can either meet or exced the left hand column. If you don't, you may credit things like initial and recurrent sim and time on type.
So if I was on the 1900 I would need 3000TT to meet the TT reqs of that category. But, if I were to have initial and recurrent sim I could lower that to 2500TT. Also if I had 1000 hours on type I can reduce the TT another 1 hour for every 2 hours on type. So my TT required to be Contrail would be 2000TT.
You have to meet or exceed every time requirment for that category. MPIC, PIC, TT etc.
