Any low time people finding work?
Just wondering if there are people out there that have a positive story to tell about either landing a first job or having a call for an interview etc. Hoping to hear something positive for myself and others to read.
Re: Any low time people finding work?
I've had 2 interviews for 6 resumes sent out this season. 1100hrs mostly single engine. Presently employeed, but it is time to move on even in this insecure economy.

That is very good news dude...makes the search a little less bleak. Congrats
Re: Any low time people finding work?
Thanks. There is work out there. I was hired because of experience I had doing something other than flying which got me this flying gig. I've never got a job in aviation based on my aviation qualifications but because of something I did in the past outside of aviation. Weird. Anyways, best of luck to everyone.

I assume you took the twin PIC job? Or was there a big financial difference to make the 182 competitive?N181CS wrote:Sent out 8 Resumes, got 3 calls back and 3 interviews so far only 2 job offers (Twin PIC and 182) not heard back from the 3rd(-2 floats). 1080TT

My boss is great, treats me well, pays me more than those major 704 ops. Makes me feel important and I have a very good feeling about this gig.

If you are willing to go overseas to Indonesia and make very little money, I have it under good authority that they are still hiring FO's.
Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did do.
