Re: Question for Maintenance Contractors - Workers Comp?
I was checking the other day and I think it is based on total revenues, in Alberta it appears to be $1.19 per $100 of revenue. Hope that helps.

Re: Question for Maintenance Contractors - Workers Comp?
Hi,
I see you're in Alberta. If that's the case I believe that WCB coverage is optional for company directors.
So the first question to ask is, "are you a Director"?
The second issue is that any large operator who you work for may very well require WCB coverage as a conditon of you working contract for them. If the operator hasn't required it, you have an Alberta corporation and you're a director; you may wish to check with your Lawyer.

Hey guys, thanks very much for the replies.
If it's got wings, do you happen to have a link you could share?
Conquest Driver, I don't think I'm a director but I don't know what the definition really is.
I'm just a freelance maintenance contractor and wanted to see if 1) I have to have WCB coverage seeing as it's my ass I'm risking and 2) how much it would be if I did want/have to have it.
I appreciate the help
