New flight instructor with new job scenario?

Post by tractor747 »

Scenario:

New flight instructor with present other job ( non-instructing ).
New flight instructor gets new flight instructing Job but must work full time schedule where they lose salary at other permanent full time job because must hang around the airport waiting for new students on a full time basis.
What would you do if you lost more than you gained?
Look for part time somewhere else or where they would be flexible with your shifts?
Any thoughts?

What did you agree to when you were hired? At first its going to be slow for you until you build up a base of students. Hvae you ci=onsidered going part time in your non-flying position, just a thought?
