Stranded Onboard...Again!

Post by EPR » Sat Aug 03, 2019 1:22 am

Just wondering why on earth would the passengers be kept onboard the aircraft in Rome for 6 hours in a sweltering cabin?
There may be a good reason, but I don’t know what that would be, maybe custom issues? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just asking.

No idea what the particular circumstances were of this event, but typically at large and busy airports like FCO, boarding gates and lounges are continuously in use and not available outside of slot times, and there is no provision for deplaning on the tarmac unless its an emergency evacuation. Some airports charge the airlines massive fees if they tie up a gate past their allotted time. HNL for example.
