We bid for schedules in the traditional way so there is no pattern. YOu are guaranteed 12 days off a month and a max schedule of 85 hours. So if you hit 85 hours in 15-16 days you will have13-15 days off. No grey days etc - they are off days. SO you can request specific days off, specific flight etc as in any bidding system.
Thanks Soyer,
Can you bid those 12 days off to be consecutive ?

Not sure about that. I doubt it since there are legal day off requirements but you could probably get pretty close. Would also depend on base and the type of flying from that base. Lots of variables.

I believe you're thinking of Swoop. Flair pilots improved their situation substantially.

Hi everyone,
Do you know if Flair is planning to open a base in Winnipeg? Is the schedule commutable? Is it possible to have multiple days pairing followed by few days off for example?
Thanks for your infos!

Well, seniority based if the FO has the required time. But at least 4 FO's, who were hired with the required time before even arriving, upgraded last fall out of seniority since they held the time.

Flair is actively hiring. There haven't been any layoffs.
They did close the YYC and YLW bases, but everyone was accommodated either in YEG or YVR/YXX
