My thoughts exactly... I heard they are doing courses for September and April.... they seem to give about 2 months notice... confused.

My cousin got called for the September IFR course yesterday. Stings extra hard for me since I've been in the candidate pool since February whereas he only joined the pool a few weeks ago.
Ah well, the waiting game continues.

From what I've heard through the grapevine at work, the offers for the VFR course in September haven't gone out yet because they're still finalizing the exact start date. That info is second/third hand, so I can't vouch for it being definitive. However, if you're still waiting to hear, I would say hang on a couple more weeks until early August to wait for the call. And good luck!

Is anyone familiar with the process in which phone calls go out? Do they call the first 10 on the list, wait for acceptance to the pending course, and keep going down the list? No phone call yet... 10 Months left...

I was called around the 20th of July for VFR training that starts in September.
I've been doing the online course since then. Does anyone know of a thread or have any comment on what to expect the first few days? testing immediately? anything?

Have a search for threads regarding "ITA". There's been several posts giving advice on what to expect.
It's a lot to learn, but I will vouch that the effort is worth it in the end.

I heard yesterday that they clamored together a last minute VFR course in the YYZ FIR. I believe it's running now or perhaps starts Monday.
Good luck to those who got the call and are on the course. Work hard and put in the extra effort - it's worth it.
To those still waiting, I heard that there will be VFR course again in the winter. I'd speculate a start in Jan - Mar.

Hi- looks like this may be an older post, but hoping to bring it back to life.
I'm still early in the process, but does anyone have any insight as to upcoming assessments for YYZ? Completed my online testing 9/29
