Hey guys, any word on YYZ hirings? It's getting close to April wonder if anyone got any calls

I believe the calls have been made for the upcoming courses for YYZ. I am on standby for the VFR course and I know of others who have also been called. This was about a week ago. Not sure if they are making any more or if everything has been filled.

To Anyone reading this:
When was your in-person assessment?
Mine was during the December 11-13, 2017 session. Anyone in that session get a call for this April’s courses?
If you were not in the December assessment, when was yours? Trying to gauge an idea of backlog. Also, for anyone who knows, assuming April Course rumors are true, we’ve heard there are some of us currently on standby for VFR (congratulations) does anyone know if this April’s course include IFR candidates? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to some replies.

Well looks like I've timed out, I was in the IFR pool, did my in person last January. Congrats to those that have made it! Best of luck to those of you in the pool!

From my understanding training runs April and October in the YYZ. So I'll expire before the October class begins. And I hear the April class has been filled. Unless I'm missing something?

You could be called in June for a course that starts in September?
Did you tell the interviewers that you were willing to relocate or do another course such as FSS or VFR?

I was under the impression I would have had to start training, not training offer, within the 18 months following the in person interview. Or is it 18 months from the results of the interview? And not the interview date itself?. I know this was gone over at the end of my interview, but it was a while ago, anyone have any fresher answers?

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine you can still be called so long as your profile is still active. I would imagine that once you're called and made an offer, the 18 months is irrelevant.
(how I would assume it works ...)

You can receive an offer up to 18 months after entering the candidate pool (interview results). Like the other poster said, if you're willing to do other streams besides IFR, or are willing to train in another region - call talent acquisition (I think it's still Joanne), and tell them that.
