What insurance options are out there?

Post by airyharry »

Please share, insurer / underwriter / broker / fee / anything that can help. Thanks

I heard COPA uses Marsh as underwriter, but does that change by year? Are there options?

EAA's C-PLAN with Nacora. Still the best insurance but since Judy took over and Sandy is gone it's a gong show getting anything done over there.

AON is another good option to check. Cheap prices, good customer service, and an open pilot clause.

AON Reed Stenhouse in Calgary is the most professional brokerage office I've ever come across.

The Vancouver office ... not so much.

We currently deal with Mercedes Smolders in the Toronto office. Previously Suzan Wakeman at Calgary (who now works for a different company, I think). Never had any problems with either. Not sure how we got transferred to the Toronto office.

We just switched from Aon to Marsh (dealing with Suzan Walkman incidentally) after five years of insuring our PA30.

Aon couldn't touch Marsh on the premium this year.
