Uploads to Flight Instruction.

Post by TTJJ »

I would like to suggest that the Flight Instruction and Questions forums be allowed to receive uploads directly from our computers.

This would facilitate answering questions, as graphs, scanned diagrams from manuals or even hand drawn ones could be included in the post.

While understanding the Webmaster’s concerns about non-appropriate material being posted, rules could be established controlling such behaviour.

good idea. There are tons of aids created by instructors that end up being great tools for instruction. I know I still have a few.

Keep in mind that by asking avcanada to host pictures, diagrams, charts etc for download, that increases the bandwidth the site requires. A single 1-meg picture would take more bandwidth than a hundred posts.

The reason this is relevant is that bandwidth costs money. There are lots of free hosting services that you could link to, and that would keep the costs down.
