FSX

Post by Boeing boy »

Hi

I've played Flight Simulator X on my laptop for over a year..and loved it. Two months ago I was forced to stop because my laptop is now extremely slow. My dad things FSX ruined it. I miss playing it. I'm getting a new laptop in a few weeks..so my question is.. would FSX actually slow my computer down and give it viruses? Can I still install it on the new laptop..and if I do..is there any add-ons or anything I can get that would prevent me losing another laptop

Any information is helpful

Thanks

BB

I know storing too much porn on a lap top can ruin it. Something about moisture seeping into the keyboard......

FSX didn't ruin your laptop... chances are, Windows ruined your laptop, or at least slowed it down. This could be fixed but I'd just get a Mac!!!

FYI, if your computer is more than a couple years old, that may also be the problem.

Heheh, I bet the warranty department loves you Doc.

No Boing Boy, FSX did not and will not ruin your laptop or give it viruses. It might slow down your computer while it's running, and all computers invariably get slower as you store more information and install more programs, and introduce more background processes. Data becomes fragmented and your computer idles at a higher processor load, with less free memory.

You could probably fix up your old computer with a good drive formatting.

Vik is 100% correct! A fresh windows install will make it seem brand new. FSX will not put viruses on your machine, unless you downloaded a corrupt addon or something.

Also, all the additional mods and aircraft might bog down your PC. I had that issue in the past!
