Nokia N97 is a touchscreen mobile phone with a sliding full QWERTY keyboard. The screen is developed to recognize handwriting and is converted to text format by the pre-installed software. A 5-megapixel camera is integrated at the rear with autofocus and LED flash. Another camera at the front is designed for video calling. N97 comes with 32 gigabytes of internal storage which can be expanded up to 16 gigabytes more using the microSD memory card. Nokia N97 features Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The device is running on Symbian operating system and comes preloaded with a variety of applications, including media player, digital compass, document viewer, email and photo editor. Using Nokia N97 is easy via the touch-based graphical user interface.

Any reason you're looking at using/buying such an "old" phone?

When you see the word "Symbian", run fast, run far.

Why spend any money on a dead smartphone OS? If you want an old phone may as well get an Nokia dumb phone and call it a day. The new Nokia Lumia series isn't out in Canada yet so you could look into them when they come out. The Lumia isn't as powerful as the iPhone and most Android but if the price is right why not? It does run Windows Phone 8.
