Post by Expat »

I just installed IE 9. Not bad. Faster to open pages in the favorites bar. Seems a little fater to scroll also. :smt040

It's about time microsith created a browser that worked.

I was just reading a review comparing IE9, Chrome and Firefox 4. To my surprise, IE was the fastest to launch (both cold start and warm start), and took up the least 'head space' on the screen. Sadly Firefox ranked last in both categories :?

I wonder if all the anti-trust lawsuits, etc. that have forced them to make IE optional (and not built-into the OS) have made it necessary for MS to finally develop a standards-compliant, descent browser? If so, good on 'em!

I think anyone using older IEs should upgrade. It is free... Rare these days...

...and I am handicapped with a dish system... So any speed upgrade is welcomed...

It is free but XP users need not apply as it isn't compatible.
