Great photo!.. I like when they appear candid and not everyone looking at the camera.
The water rudders don't seem to match....any reason for that?
Thanks
Ross

Good catch. No I don't know why. Possibly a lack of matching parts after a repair.ross1 wrote:Great photo!.. I like when they appear candid and not everyone looking at the camera.

Great photo.
I'm curious though: Where do they go from there? I can't see a ramp in that photo, and it looks like a bit of a drop from the dock to the water.

There definitely was a ramp out in front. But something had shifted. Can't remember exactly what the deal was. That is why we were putting sheets of plywood in front of the beaching gear to roll it across something.NunavutPA-12 wrote:Great photo.

Why bother with the wheels? Just wait for the tide to come up?
Very cool photo.

Another angle before we started moving TBA. Bellanca Aircruiser BTW Straddles the dock on the right.NunavutPA-12 wrote:Great photo.

Just realized this is in Pickle Lk. Thought it was Sioux Lookout til I took a closer look and got my bearings. TBA is pointing towards the MNR docks.

Great pictures, great nostalgia.
If you can get a decent job in NW Ontario, I highly recommend it. Great people, great flying. I'm grateful for my experiences up there.

Me too. I turned grouchy after eight years or so and went off to find somewhere else to fly, but now when I think of it I feel a pang of nostalgia for it. Maybe I'll go back one day, if there are still any floatplanes left there. Maybe Pete will hire me for a season.Changes in Latitudes wrote:Great pictures, great nostalgia.

If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself
