Hooker Air Service Otter CF-HAS April 1971. We are trying to turn it out of a strong east wind with a rope around the tail ski.

This must have been the first winter on skis for HAS as a Hooker Air Otter.
If not the first then the second.

Lots of water laying around.

Yes it was the first winter on skis. The pic was taken towards the end of April 1971. On April 21st I flew a couple of mechanics to a small lake between Big Trout Lake and Ft. Severn. The Otter landed there after an engine failure a few days before that. The pic was taken on it's arrival back in PL after the engine was changed under difficult circumstances.
