Harbour Air - not world's largest all seaplane airline

Post by -thiswontlastforever » Sun Feb 28, 2016 6:01 am

Harbour Air has been claiming for quite some time on their website that they are the largest all seaplane airline in the world. I believe in fact that Trans Maldivian Airways is larger by about 10 planes or so. I guess being the world's largest all seaplane airline comes with bragging rights, so you'd think they would check the facts before claiming such a thing. It's funny how TMA also claims the same thing on their website.

This is largely a semantic argument. Harbour air sells individual tickets on scheduled flights (a common definition of "airline"). TMA is strictly a charter operator as far as I know, and yes, they have the largest seaplane fleet. Does it really matter though?

I always thought Kenmore was one of the biggest...are they even close?

(though maybe they're not ALL seaplanes)
