Where to get Aerial applicator experience?

Post by currysonic »

Hi all,

I was just wondering how people get their start with aerial application of chemicals. They say 80% of jobs aren't posted anywhere, so is there someone with a fitted out super cub with application equipment hiring new pilot? Or do generally people experienced on turbine aircraft decide to want a change of pace and do crop dusting for a summer?

Of course I'm alluding to a job ad posted here, super curiosity as how other careers in aviation work! Crop dusting definately looks fun :D
-Have a minimum 2000 hours of aerial applicator experience which 1000 hours must be on a Turbine Air Tractor or the equivalent

Cheers all!
