Never been to the west coast. Off to YYJ at the end of March for a couple days and looking to do the float rating. Been looking at VFC and Pacific Seaplanes. Would prefer to stay around YYJ area, but I have no problem travelling around Van Island for good training. Any comments on those operators? Any other recommendations?

VFC had a great instructor and not sure if he is still there. Sean was his name. You're going to get some great experience out of Pat Bay, just hope and pray for solid weather to hold. YYJ usually has better wx than YVR though so i'll cross my fingers for ya.
