Season Start

Post by canadadry »

Hello,

Just landed in Thunder Bay after 2 days drive, went by Kenora, didn't see any floatplanes and saw some lakes still frozen on the way so I was wondering if I was too early, when do you guys start operations in that area, is everything still frozen north of TB ? ?

Thanks.

Chris.

I just got to Thunder Bay as well on my way west and everything I saw was still frozen. A few lakes starting to look dark and saw one floatplane buzzing around Hearst. My guess is it was an amphib. Hopefully ice free in a week.

Cheers

I’m off to Manitoba on Monday for a Wednesday start. Ice is gone at one of our bases already.

I'm in TBay. Just did the change over today. Ice on the river in Kakabeka is pretty much out.
